WORCESTER COUNTY, MASSACHUSETTS

Our Services

Additions, ADUs, kitchens, baths, masonry, decks, siding, and flooring. One licensed general contractor for all of it, from the foundation to the last piece of trim.

Most companies in this business specialize in one thing and subcontract the rest, or coordinate everything and self-perform none of it. ARM Construction is a masonry company that grew into full general contracting, which means we do the structural work ourselves and manage the whole project rather than handing you off between trades.

Andrew Mercurio holds Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License #CS-093044 and the company holds Home Improvement Contractor Registration #153199. That combination is what lets us take on the work below, including the structural projects a lot of remodeling companies decline. More on how we work is on our about page.

Additions and ADUs

Home Additions Bump-outs, single-story and two-story additions, second-story additions, and primary suites. Foundation to finish, with permitting handled. Most additions in Central Massachusetts run $150 to $350 per square foot.

ADUs and In-Law Suites Massachusetts now allows one accessory dwelling unit by right on most single-family lots, with no special permit and no zoning hearing. Attached, detached, or converted. Septic capacity under Title 5 is usually what decides the project in this county.

Sunrooms and Four Season Rooms Custom four season rooms built on real foundations, three season rooms, and conversions of screened porches past their useful life. The three season versus four season decision drives everything else.

Garage and Basement Conversions Turning garages, basements, and attics into finished, code-compliant living space. Ceiling height, egress, and moisture decide whether it works, and we check all three before design starts.

Remodeling

Kitchen Remodeling Full kitchen renovations including layout changes, cabinets, counters, tile, and flooring. Removing a load-bearing wall to open a kitchen is structural work, and it is the most requested change we handle.

Bathroom Remodeling Tub to shower conversions, custom tile showers, and full gut renovations. Tile and grout are not waterproof. The membrane and pan behind them are what keep water out of your framing, and we water test before any tile goes on.

Home Remodeling Multi-room and whole-house renovations, including structural work, systems, and finishes. Sequencing is the entire job on a project this size, which is why running it as one company matters.

Masonry and Exteriors

Custom Masonry and Stonework Stone fireplaces and surrounds, natural stone veneer, retaining and fieldstone walls, patios, walkways, steps, chimneys, repointing, and foundations. Four generations of the trade, self-performed.

Decks and Patios Pressure treated, composite, and cedar decks on frost-depth footings, plus paver and stone patios. We build both, which means we can tell you honestly which one your property actually wants.

Siding and Exteriors Vinyl, insulated vinyl, engineered wood, fiber cement, and cedar. We tear off rather than side over, because a re-side is the only time anyone will see what your walls are actually made of.

Flooring Installation Hardwood, engineered, tile and natural stone, and luxury vinyl plank, plus subfloor repair and leveling. Tile cracks because the floor underneath flexes, so we deal with the structure before the surface.

Multifamily

We take two-family, three-family, and triple decker work, which is a meaningful share of the housing in Worcester, Leominster, and the mill villages of Grafton.

Multifamily renovation is not simply larger single-family work. Fire separation between units, means of egress from upper floors, and the code requirements that apply to rental dwelling units all change the job, and doing it correctly requires a Construction Supervisor License. Unit renovations, kitchens and baths, structural and foundation work, exteriors, and code compliance.

Where We Work

ARM Construction is based in Princeton and works throughout Worcester County, including Worcester, Leominster, Shrewsbury, Westborough, Holden, Grafton, Northborough, Southborough, Sterling, West Boylston, and Boylston.

Planning a larger project? Our Massachusetts Home Addition and ADU Guide covers costs, permitting, the 2025 ADU law, and what actually decides whether a property can support an addition.
